Our Story: Beyond the Medal
Founded over 35 years ago by Carl Finney, Judo Education began with a singular mission: to get more young people involved in the Olympic sport of Judo. While that passion remains at our core, our journey has evolved into something much larger.
Today, we have expanded our expertise to include Fencing, Archery, Karate, and Baseball, rebranding our mission to reflect a total approach to physical education. Now led by our dedicated team of expert coaches – Antony, Dale, Chris, Matt, and Nick – we are committed to delivering more than just sports skills.
More Than Just a Game
We’ve learned that whether a child is on the mat, at the archery range, or on the baseball diamond, the true value of sport goes far beyond trophies and belts. It is a powerful tool for shaping daily life, fostering a sense of discipline, focus, and integrity that stays with a child long after the lesson ends.
Our Moral Code
Across all our disciplines, we are guided by a universal moral code. We believe that through Archery, Fencing, Karate, Baseball, and Judo, we can instil eight essential life pillars in every child:
- Politeness & Sincerity
- Courage & Self-Control
- Honour & Modesty
- Friendship & Respect
Under the guidance of our coaching team, we don’t just teach sports – we help primary school teachers build stronger, more resilient, and more respectful communities, one lesson at a time.
Bringing sports clubs into schools.
