Teamwork and Tactics

Baseball is a fantastic alternative to Rounders, offering more frequent action and deeper tactical involvement for every player on the pitch.

Curriculum Links:

• Striking and Fielding: Master the fundamentals of hitting a moving object and accurate throwing/catching.
• Communication: Requires constant verbal teamwork, hitting the “collaborative” goals of the National Curriculum.
• Spatial Awareness: Pupils must learn to “read the field” and make split-second decisions about where to throw the ball.
• Strategic Play: Understanding “innings” and “bases” develops a child’s ability to think several steps ahead.
